In the previous week, I have been researching on my project which is on the sensor. a laser sensor is actually an advance type of sensor. After researching on it, the laser that i want to use is the LDM41. This laser will emits laser lights and will reflects back without using any kind of reflector. the problem with this sensor is, this sensor is hard to find. i can only get this sensor using online shopping which are available in japan. this sensor also cost a lot. if this sensor is obtain, the process of making the robot will be easier.
as back up plan, i also research on other sensor which is ultrasonic sensor and Infrared sensor. Ultrasonic is easy to get in malaysia but with our currency, it is also quite expensive, which is RM50 - RM 60 per piece. for Infrared sensor, it is the cheapest but cheap sensor came with a problem, which is the range of the sensor.
i will be asking my lecturer about this research and ask for his opinion on which sensors that im going to use.
